broken axis bar graph

Hi:

I have a bar graph with some really small numbers and then one bar
that's very big. Since the smaller bars are always going to be small,
I want to create a broken y-axis so it goes from 0-100, then breaks
and starts at 1000 and keeps going...

I found one post that was good for scatterplots, but since mine is a
bar graph, I would appreciate any help out there on the subject.

Thanks,

M

Have a look at this site:

This also includes links to other sites covering the topic.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for this, but how do you get past creating the second x-axis?
When I do it, the scale goes 0, 0, 1, 0, 0 (it won't let me change the
min/max -in fact, it's treating like it's a text axis or
something).... Thanks in advance for any help...

I've never tried to do it myself - perhaps Andy/Jon/Mushta will come
in sometime ...

Hi Andy,

will respond when I can. Sorry for the delay - I appreciate your
extending yourself to help... another project just popped up. :(

Thanks again,

Michelle
