Opening file duration

Dear all,

I have a 2 MB excel file that used to open quite quickly. However, since I
added 2 worksheets the opening duration suddenly lasts over 3 minutes. I
don't think I did anything crazy and most surely not anything I had not done
before, but am afraid at one point this model will not open any more...

Any suggestions?

I run Excel 2003, SP2

Thanks,

Johannes

I would first check the file size.  If there are numerous formulas and
macros, in addition to a large amount of data, this could cause it to open
more slowly.  You might try setting Calculation to "Manual" to see if that
would help.

Just some guesses.

No glory there... Funny thing is that I did not add any macro's and no huge
amount of data compared to my previous (back-bone) version... Guess I have
to do it again and pinpoint where exactly my problem arises.

Thanks for your response,

Happy Easter to all,

Johannes
