opening file

hi,
i have an excel shared file and i created some links to open PDF file.the
other users open the links exept one user. when he clicks on the links
nothing happens even no error messages.

On his machine, fire up Task Manager and kill the AcroRd32.exe
process.

Then try clicking the link again.

Adobe sometimes just gets confused.  Killing it seems to clear its
thinking.

Sometimes, the reader program will open and ask you if you want to look for
updates.  But I've had these windows open behind the activewindow and I've never
noticed that it was waiting.

You may want to check.

If that's not the problem and Jim's suggestion doesn't help, maybe...

Maybe it's not excel.  A few people complained that the Reader appeared and then
disappeared.

So make sure you have the latest version of the software:
