Am using Vista and recently installed Office Basic Edition 2003 that I
had purchased for an earlier machine that has bit the dust. Why is it
that whenever I open Excel the End-User License Agreement comes up and I
have to accept to continue. I should only have to do this once but it
happens every time!

Hi Carl,

This used to happen a bit in the previous operating systems but I haven't
heard of it happening in Vista. The old school method to resolve this was to
start into the administrator account of the system, then run word/excel
accept the EULA, close that application, restart Word/Excel to ensure that
you aren't prompted with this again, then log back into your account.

Failing that, try clean booting the system
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 and then repair Office.

Hope that helps,
Frank.

Frank,

Thanks for the reply.

I am the administrator. The only user of the system. So I guess I can't
do what you suggested first.

I'll have to check out the other info.

Sorry Carl, can't think of anything else at the moment. Hope you get it
sorted.
