Can anyone tell me what run-time error 1004: Application-defined or
object-defined error is?

I have inherited an excel workbook that has some macros in that give me this
message and I don't really know why it is happening.

I am looking for some clues as to where to start to find what is wrong.

Thanks in advance

Neil

It's pretty much a catch-all for any and every kind of error.

Maybe you can find the macro that has the error, step through it and share the
important parts--including indicating the line that caused the error.
