Can a table be placed inside a cell?

           A                             B                               C
1        cat                          mouse                         horse

2        dog                            A     B     C               pig
                                    1    cat    hat    bat
                                    2    fix     mix    slix
                                    3    dog   fog    fat

3        moose                     snake                         horse

4           sun                        moon                          stars

hi,
not really. you might be able to use word wrap and make it look like a table
but the text in the cell will not function like a table e.i. fields and
records. the cell is restricted to 32000~ characters and only 1024 will show
in the cell. the columns are restricted to 255 characters wide. the text
inside the cell, regardless of how it looks is treated by xl as one long
string.
