I made a spreadsheet, that has a column of $ 12.95 formatted as currancy.
Everything worked great at first, but now every tie I type the decimal
point, excel is inserting 2 spaces between the decimal and the cents, so I
get "$12. 95" instead of "$12.95"
I'm sure this is an obvious problem, but I can't figure it out.

What are you typing into the cell? Do you include the $.
First thing I'd check is the number format.
The next thing I'd check is tools|autocorrect options.
Look to see if the dot is being replaced with a dot followed by two spaces.

Take a look under Format>Style>Currency and see if a modification got made.
Maybe an extra space after the decimal point?
I can replicate that scenario.
