Greetings,

I have a couple of issues and I'm not sure from where they're rooted. I've
been trying to install Adobe CS3 with issues. I'm not sure how that relates
other than there was a flashpaper addin at one time and I had problems with
it not going away in excel. Now it's gone from excel but not from the
system.

Excel was working fine earlier today with no problems evident.

I'm using Excel from Office Ultimate 2007 on a XP Pro SP2 system.

Now -

1.) When I launch excel, I receive an alert box with Microsoft Visual Basic
in the title bar and the message that states 'Compile error in hidden
module: AutoExecNew'.

2.) When I exit excel, I receive a similar alert box with a message stating,
'Compile error in hidden module: DistMon'.

3.) I tried to put the Office Ultimate 2007 cd back in the drive to
uninstall thinking I'd take care of it by blowing away the current install
and starting over, guess what! I tried to launch setup.exe both as the
autorun and double-clicking the file. It failed to startup. The log file
contained 3 copies of the information below:

Controller\ULTIMATER\UltimaterWW.xml
Error: Type: . UnexpectedError ErrorCode: 1605(0x645). This action is only
valid for products that are currently installed.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Am I hosed here??

re AutoExecNew, the PDFMaker add-in is probably loading somehow.  Uncheck it
in Office button, Excel Options, Add-ins.  If it's not there make sure it is
not in any of your XLSTART folders from where it will load automatically.
Failing that search for it.
