Number Formating

For some reason, everytime i am typing a number in excel, the last two
digits are made into decimal. For example, if I type "1,023" into a
cell, once i hit enter it becomes "10.23" in the cell. How do I fix
this? Thanks

Tools>options>edit, deselect fixed decimal places
