I am using Excel 2007.
Each time I Close Excel I get an error box (Microsoft Office Excel has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience) and if I don't un-check "restart microsof office" it will
restart Excel. What can this problem be?
Ron de Bruin - 13 Jul 2007 15:25 GMT
Hi Rick

Start Excel

Office button > Excel options
Click on Resources
And run Microsoft Office Diagnostics

OK. I just did it and it reports no problems. Where do I go from here?

Hi Rick

Do you have add-ins installed a personal file or templates/workbooks in your XLstart folder ??

Try to start Excel in Safe modus

Close Excel

Now hold the Ctrl key when you open Excel
Say Yes to Safe mode

See if you have the same problem

That's a new one to me! How long have you known about that, Ron?

I checked the XLstart folder and it was empty.  I tried going in safe
mode and the same result in safe mode.
