Cursor box not visible enough

I have difficulties seeing/locating the cursor box in Excel XP v2002.  Is
there a way to get a darker cursor box?  I seem to remember seeing some kind
of VB routine somewhere that would do this trick.

Won't work because I use split panes.  Are there any other solutions out
there?
