MS Excel 2007.
I open an Excel 2003 workbook in Excel 2007 and then try to save it as an
excel 2000-2003 WOrk book and get the following error message.
Errors were detected while saving ...fielname... Microsoft office excel may
be able to save the file by removing or repairing some features.
Anyone any ideas how to solve this problem.
If you continue it then saves the file having prompted you to save again and
then says that 'No errors were detected. No repairs were necessary"
Cheers

I would suggest copying all your data to a new file, sheet by sheet.
If the file becomes corrupt, you may lose data.

I have the same issue with XLSM workbooks. Copy and pasting into new books
doesn't work, even just paste values. A clear majority of my spreadsheets
won't upgrade and even professional models I have purchased have the same
problem. I have been playing around trying work out what goes wrong, even
working from a fresh book and rewriting complex spreadsheets from scratch.
After a while, the workbook gives the same error. My conclusion, there is
something very wrong with Excel 2007. If anyone can shed some light on the
problem it would be greatly appreciated.

I think this problem has something to do either with custom templates. I
started getting this problem after installing the MS Office 2007 ser pack 1
upgrade.
