MS Office Forum / Excel / New Users / December 2007excel opens but not the document
i have a problem with excel 2003 - when i click on an excel document excel opens but does not load the document - i have to go to file >> open to open the document any idea's would be appreciated Sometimes one of these works when you're having trouble with double clicking on the file in windows explorer: Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it) --- or --- Close Excel and Windows Start Button|Run excel /unregserver then Windows Start Button|Run excel /regserver The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's factory defaults.
