I never thought about it but after a few minutes poking around it doesn't
look to be possible. Even if you unlock all the cells in the sheet.

Hi Jim
Yes, I had also been trying various things, and there was no way I could get
it to work.
Seems to be the same in XL2007 with Tables as well, you can't add data to
the table when the sheet is protected.
