Date format in Indian style

Hello,

   I am trying to get the date format in Indian style... That is dd-mmm-yy. I am unable to set my excel to do that. It always asks me to enter mm-dd-yy. Kindly help

Have you tried changing your Regional Setting (in Control Panel accessed from Windows Start)?
I use a US version of Office but have my Regional setting to dd/mm/yyyy so I can enter dates such as 29/2/2008
