Excel 2007 - Comments are harder to work with.

Am I missing something here?  I would expect Excel 2007 to be easier to work
with than Excel 2003, but I'm finding the opposite to be true (with regard
to cell comments).

In 2003, I could format the comments the very same way I format the cell -
and that is to use the tool bar.

In 2007, I can format the comments (such as bold, underline, font, size)
through the toolbar - just like in 2003.  But when it comes to color, that
is where it gets difficult.

Unlike 2003, I must somehow figure out that:

1) Need to FIRST select the text (because the next step will prevent me from
doing so later).
2) Right-Click the comment window and select "Format Comment".

I am hoping Microsoft will agree that this should be considered a bug in
Excel 2007 and will find a fix for this asap.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

I think Bob's point boils down to this.  When editing a comment in Excel
2003 the Font Color toolbutton on the Formatting toolbar is enabled.  In
Excel 2007 the Font Color button on the Home tab is disabled.  Weird change,
and given you can change the font color via right-click, could be a mistake.
