We know we could create a small subset table from a large table by
cutting and pasting the results from a filter. Be careful, you will
get wrong results in Excel 2007.
For example, in a data table, 4th and 8th rows are filtered out from
the first 10 rows, cut these 8 rows and paste into a new file, you
will get a table with 10 rows. Surprise?

Don't use cut/paste - just copy/paste.
Hope this helps.
