I was wondering how you change and Excel footer format. Like when I put
something in the center section of the footer it spreads what I wrote evenly
across the bottom of the page and then when I go to put something in one of
the other sections on the left or right, the information is there, but when I
print it it all just runs on top of one another. The header seems to seprate
from what I want to be in the center, stays in jus the center of the header,
but what I write in the center of the footer seems to get spread evenly
through the bottom of the footer. I guess I need to know where you can go to
find the settings that these footers are defaluting to. Is there anyway to
change that or see that. It just seems idiotic that the header does one
thing but when you try to do the same at the footer it gets totally screwed.
Any help, from anyone would be much appreciated!!!!

Excel version? In 2003 you only have one "section" to the header or footer.

I have Excel 2003, but I'm talking when you click on customer footer and you
put something in the left section, the center section and then the right
section. When you click on customer header and you do the same thing it puts
what you type in the same format at the top of your page. Like if you wan
the date on the left and company name in the middle and so on, it does that.
When you try and so the same in the customer footer section it just seems to
take whatever you put in the center section and spread it out at the bottom
of the page, with no margins. To the point when I put something in the left
section of the footer, when I print the page it just runs all together or the
center section prints over what I wanted on the left, you know?!? Anyway do
you no where to go to find the settings for the custom footers? I was even
wondering how you change the drop down menu options at the footer?!? Like if
you want add one or modify one that is already there?!?!

My bad, wasn't thinking Custom. Perhaps you have pasted in the Tab
character ?

Don't enter so much in the center footer or in center footer hit spacebar>enter
to leave a blank line before you enter text or whatever. This leaves room for
the left and right footers to cross over above the center.
