Does the worksheet have a lot of formulas (esp array formulas or
formulas with a large scope) and/or fonts/colors? These tend to slow
down the workbook since it has to repaint the screen constantly while
scrolling. Also if it is filtered that also slows down scrolling in my
workbooks.

There are many formulas, but all are simple addition or multiplication.
I have tried shaving parts of the data off to see if I can find the problem.
The sheet has 15 identical blocks of several hundred lines to it is easy to
tinker and replicate. I think that the text boxes are causing the problem. I
removed them it seems to be faster.
This wasn't a problem in Excel 2003.
Any thoughts?
