Excel 2002 SP3
Win XP Pro SP2

I need to copy a sheet inside a workbook, to many other workbooks.

One of the problems is that each of the workbooks contains ranges named
ranged, rangem, rangey, and that only at times does Excel gives me the
warning message re. which name to use: destination or source sheet.

So I cannot control that process.

Any suggestions?

How I proceed is right click on tab of source sheet of workbook A; click
"copy", choose destination file that is already open, location within
that workbook, and enter.

Any suggestion as to how to overcome this?

Thanks.

stef,

Try making all of your names local sheet-level names: when you define the name, use a name preceded
by the sheet name, like

'Sheet Name'!NameUsed

The single quotes are needed if your sheet name has spaces in it.

Bernie,
Thanks.
So this would avoid confusion on the names, etc.
You are saying that this is good practice to use as a rule, always, correct?

'Historical Performance'!rangem (for example)

What about ifI am using that name in separate workbooks?  Shouldn't I
have some type of reference to the workbook name as well? e.g.
