Hello - Does anyone know where the "Personal.xls file" (where I save
all of my macros) is typically stored on a computer. Usually it is
hidden, but it randomly opened earlier today, and so I just closed
it.
The problem is that I don't know where to open it so that I can rehide
it and thus be able to use the macros that I have been saving on it.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Mine is under C:\Documents and Settings\JIM\Application
Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

Thanks to all. Apparently my company had the settings set up to hide
the Application folder that I needed to go through....

Personal.xls is always in XLStart. But to hide it, just open Excel and hide
it in Excel. Then save the changes to Personal.xls. It will be hidden.

Close Excel then re-open with any workbook.
Personal.xls will open. If unhidden, Windows>Hide then close Excel and answer
yes to "do you want to save etc."
But see Jim's post about where to find Personal.xls if you ever need to open it
manually.
