I've done some Excel Help and googling and the answer seems to be no can do.
Just checking to see if anyone's ever found a way to insert an animated GIF
into an Excel97 sheet?
Thx.

It depends on where you want the animation to appear.

Certainly not on print, probably neither on the worksheet.

On a presentation slide maybe or on a website?

Please clarify.

What I'm after would be right on the worksheet.

Shortish story is I have a workbook of a dozen or so sheets that I update
once a week and then email to a couple of people.
One of the sheets is a "who did badly that week" (it is a scratch
performance bowling spreadsheet). Whomever does the worst that week gets his
picture on the page and I munge it up in either Excel or out in a photoshop
[type of] prog. It would be fun to sometimes make it dance etc. - that's
what I'm after (amazing isn't it the stuff we consider fun<g>).

Thx if you have an idea.
Geo.
