I don't have DB IV, but with a typical database table in Excel, you have the field names in
the first row, not the name box. Put ZIP in cell H1 and see what happens. The first actual
record will be in row 2, etc.

Typing ZIP in the top row of a column does name that column.
Maybe you should select the column and Insert>Name>Define.
Name it ZIP and OK out.
Type ZIP in row 1 of the colulmn
Now both namebox and cell will read ZIP
