Just got 2007, and I've been playing around with it. Two questions
1. Can you scrunch the toolbar (or ribbon I guess they call it)? In
other words can you make it narrower?
2. In lieu of the above, can you make 2007 look like your 2003, or
2000 looks? Especially the toolbar?
Thanks

You could download the free addin from Shah Shailesh
http://in.geocities.com/shahshaileshs/
Download XL Menu 2003
I don't run 2007 so cannot vouch for the add-in personally but others have
recommended it.

You can hide most of the ribbon by pressing Ctrl+F1 to reduce the ribbon to
the tabs and Ctrl+F1 to expand the ribbon again. Or you can simply double
click on a ribbon tab to reduce and double click again to restore. When
reduced, you can click on a tab to see the ribbon for that tab. Just click
again on the tab or on the worksheet to reduce the ribbon again.

Thanks. Is there a way to make the icons smaller?

When you slowly narrow the width of the Excel window you'll see large icons
automatically get replaced by small ones. But that has no effect on the
height of the ribbon.
