Hi,

I'm having a problem at excel that i don't have on other computers:
when i click save as, i would like, as usual, that on the file name
window, apeared only the current file name, and not "copy from
"filename"".

Can you help me, removing this annoying feature?

Thanks

Cako

It probably says "Copy of" and that would be because the file you're trying
to save was opened "read only".  (You would see that in the title bar).
You'll have to figure out why that was but it might be that the file has its
"read only" file attribute set (which you can see through Windows Explorer).

Ok,

Thank you very much.

It shows "Copy of" indeed. What happens is the following: each time i
receive an excel document at microsoft outlook, when i open it, it
shows as read only (as you mentioned)!! But sometime ago it didn't
happen. When i opened xls docs from outlook it would show as normal.
I tried to save from outlok, and then open the xls file, and it went
well... The problem is opening xls files from outlook...

Best Regards,

Cako
