Calculating days

I have dates like 29 March to 5 May how do i calculate the number of days

Just subtract the earlier from the later and format the cell as
General or Number.

Just to add to Pete's post, if you want to count both the dates 29 March and
5 May, append +1 to the end of the subtraction. ie:

A1= 29/03/08
A2=5/05/08

=A2-A1+1

gives 38
