open a PDF document from excel workbook

I want to open a PDF document from excel. How do i do it?  eg. i have
a word that is hyperlinked to the PDF doc. when one clicks on the
word...the PDF document will open up.

Plz help

Put a hyperlink to the file in a cell, for example:

=HYPERLINK("file:///c:\Documents and
Settings\Owner\Favorites\auto\FEG2007.pdf","mileage")

The word mileage will appear in the cell, and when clicked, the pdf will be
opened.

Hi....Thanks for the help....but i need more help

when i click on the link, i get a Office msg..."do you want to open
the file XXXXXXXXXXX.pdf?
when i click 'Yes'...it gives a msg..."No program registered to open
the file"

I am able to open the file as a PDF when i directly open it....

why does this happen?

i have windows VISTA and office 2007
