Print Area setup with Formula resetting

I am having a problem with the Print_Area name.

I have set up a custom print_Area formula using insert->name->define
so that my print range is dynamic based on certain selections a user
makes regarding some calculations

My problem comes when a user attempts to use the page setup screen.
When looking at page setup, the formula does not exist - only the
current absolute range. When the user pushes okay from page setup
(even without changing the actual print area) the print_area formula
resets to the aboslute. Is there a way to keep from allowing the print-
area to update when someone goes into page setup to modify other
criteria?

I am attempting to resolve this without the use of a macro (which
would make the solution to set print area right before printing
occurs) since there are no other macros in the book.

Any ideas? Or am I stuck without a macro?

I think you're stuck with a macro--or train the users not to go into page setup.

hi, guys !

another (possible) alternate is: *instruct* your users to...
-> modify "other criteria" through page setup (but ONLY) from "printpreview"
where those options (print_area and print_titles) are unavailable    -?-

hth,
hector.
