Sometimes when I open a file in Excel 2007 it takes sometime to open and I notice the following at the bottom of the screen. CALCULATING: (2 PROCESSOR(S)): xxx % Does anyone know what is happening? Can I prevent this from happening? Thanks in advance Ed Ed Why would you want that to stop happening? It is Excel making sure your calculations are up to date. It seems to take a longer with spreadsheets that have minimal calculations. I have some large sheets with multiple VLOOKUP formulas that open much quicker.
