I keep trying to import an individual stock price to a single cell but the
Data/Import External Data/New Web Query system seems to only allow me to
only import a whole table which of course changes my whole spread sheet.
Any suggestions on how to just import only the current stock price to a
single cell?

Import to another sheet and use a macro or indirect formula to import to
where desired. Look here.
     goto
     xltraders-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
and look in the files section. There are several free files.
I have a couple of free files under author donalb36

Thanks for the effort Don, but macros and indirect formulas are way over
this user's head.  I am lost already.
And I tried to go to xltraders-subscribe@yahoogroups.com but it is an email
address apparently, not a web page.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Ron

Here is the web site but you will have to subscribe to get any free files.

Try Smart Tags - xl2002 and later I believe.
To find out how...
Enter "Smart Tags" in the help window and choose... "Get a stock quote"
