Yes, I meant rows and columns. Sorry for the bad english.
It`s not quite what I wanted to achieve. Now I have a fixed rectangle
from A1 to H8. What I wanted is the WHOLE column A (example) to be
locked and simultaneously the WHOLE row 1 to be locked. The movable area
should have an upper left corner in the cell B2.
Now I think it just can`t be possible, because in such a case the
coordinates of cells would change with every move. Or maybe it is possible?

I guess I don't understand what you mean by the "WHOLE" because I would just
select cell B2 and then Freeze Panes, which you obviously already know how
to do. After this freeze, column A and row 1 are always in view although
what part of column A and row 1 you see depends on where you scroll to.

That`s the point! I wanted to always see the same part of column A and
row 1, no matter where I scroll the rest of the sheet. It would be like
moving a sheet of paper under a fixed L-shaped frame.
Now I start to realize, it just wouldn`t make sense in a spreadsheet,
because it would make the coordinates of cells not constant.
I redesigned my spreadsheet so I don`t need this anymore.
Thank`s for your help :)
