Auto fill????

Tools|Options|Edit...

1) if you don't want the fill handle (little black dot in bottom-right
corner of selection) then deselect Allow cell drag and drop. This also
stops users stuffing up your formulas by dragging and dropping cells.

2) if you don't want Excel to anticipate what you are going to type in
a cell then deselect the Enable AutoComplete for cell values option

3) if you don't want Excel adding formulas and formats to your table
as it grows then deselect the Extend data range formats and formulas
option
