How can I change the column width for certain sections of my worksheet?
for example: i have three separate tables on a worksheet using the same
columns. I need two of the columns to have a different column width than
the first. please help!!

You can't. Column widths are properties of the entire column. You can,
in some cases, merge cells to simulate different widths, but that
creates its own problems with sorting, copying and pasting, formatting,
etc.
Instead, look at putting your tables arranged horizontally or perhaps on
different worksheets.

Hi Steven,
One way is to place the table(s) somewhere out of view. Adjust column widths to suit. Then Copy the table and do SHIFT-Edit>Paste Picture Link (or similar) and drag the picture to the visible part of the sheet.
This works in Excel 2003, it will create a "live" picture where updates in the source table are reflected in the picture. In earlier versions it is possible, I think, to Paste Picture, but it will be static.

Thanks for the ideas. Creating a pic link works, but then I cant edit
the fields. Thanks again.
