Excel file no response!!

There are three or four excel files opened on my computer. When I switch
from one excel file to another, it is usually no response. In addition, one
excel file is very big, about 14 Mega bytes. The OS platform is windows 2000
professional. Office version is office 2000.

Hi
some ideas:
- clear the temp directory, reboot your computer and try again
- try to re-register Excel
1. Close Excel first and
2. On the Windows Taskbar
2.1 Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.
2.2 Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.

- clear the used range of this large spreadsheet:
