Changes to the first question

One change to the first question. 'Person x' doesn?t send the Exce
datasheet, but he saves it on an Intranet where both person have acces
to the datasheet

But person y actually opens the original "shared" version, does his work and
closes it.

Then person x puts a new copy back in that spot.  If that's true, then Person
y's work is probably lost and there won't be anything to compare.
