Is there any to put leader dots in fields (between the text and the end
of the field; useful where gridlines are not shown)? Thanks.

You could use a custom format:

*.General

The asterisk says to repeat the next character (I chose dot) as many times as to
fill the cell.  Then I used General, but you could use any format you wanted.

Thanks.  I want, however, the leader dots to follow text and run over to
the column where the numbers are.  I can see that reversing the
instruction to General*. will make the leader dots follow rather than
precede, but this does not appear to work with text.  Also, if possible,
the leader dots should use the more conventional dot-space-dot-space
format.  Appreciate your help.

Maybe this format?

Does this help?

Custom format:
;;;@*
After the asterick, enter a <Space>,
THEN, hold down <Alt>, and enter
0149
Using the numbers from the num keypad, *not* the numbers under the function
keys.

Sorry,
Enter a <Space> *BEFORE* the asterisk !

Thanks all.  Works fine.  I should have messed with this app a long time
ago.
FYI either the group or my provider was down until now.
Also this message might not position itself correctly -- I am using
TBird and it's not doing well yet in handling strings.
