Hi,
In Infopath we have formula Position(). Set this for first column for the
first row.
First Change the that column to Expression box and add this formula.
it will increment the number every time you added the row to the table.

Many thanks. It tool me a while to find out the expression box (a newcomer!)
but it worked beautifully. This is so damn important that the Infopath people
must had to explain it in the help! Excell does it automatically!
