we have just setup MOSS 2007 and will beinstalling InfoPath 2007. My
question is if we do not install InfoPath Forms Services, what limitations
does this impose on our company regarding forms being avaiable to all end
users and data gathering? Can I just get away with developing forms in
InfoPath and still have the functionality of forms being available to our end
users. (BTW, this question is motivated by my customer not wanting to spend
anymore money on software).
thanks for any clarification on this.

Hello Bret
If all of your end customers have the Infopath installed on their machines
then You dont need to have the Forms services. Forms services is required to
view the Infopath forms in a browser, However there are some limited features
for the web enabled forms.

If you are installing forms server 2007 for your software package then
the client need not have IP 2007 installed . All the IP forms you
designed will be functional but with limited features like some drop
downs and rich text boxes will not be available .
On the other hand you are not installing forms server 2007 then the
client will be burdened with purchasing IP 2007 to load your forms !
Hope taht answers your query
Cheers
