Hello PK,
You can use Infopath forms Service and Infopath 2007. design a Browser
enabled form and Publish to the Forms service. But remember browser enabled
forms have some limitations. You can design the form in such way that the
questions section can be readonly and only Answer section is editable.

Hello Kalyan,
sounds cool, so i can publish these forms to each of my 1000 students
document areas individually or when published to forms server do i script its
rollout to document areas..??
whats the licencing model with Forms server..is it typically MS's obtuse
version...

Hello
You need not Publish the Form 1000 times. All the students can access the
Exams site from one common location and Open the form and save it back to
their Document area. They can open it from the Document area and edit at a
later date. Publishing in 1000 Document area's will be painful

Hi Kaylan
Ahh a shared area would be marvelous.....If all my users knew how to save it
back to a different location...!!!!!! (we must be the only people arnt
sharing from sharepoint..!)
