Hi everyone,

i have a infopath 2007 doc in the sharepoint browser.
I created a button which gets some data from a webservice.
The form is also 'submittable' which means that it has a submit button and a
submit action.

When i click the button to call the webservice, it also triggers the submit
event, which is not what i want.....

i found an option on the button whether is should send data to the server.
When i click 'No', the submit event is not fired. Hooray! However, it also
does not trigger any event to call the webservice :(

when i choose 'when necessary', which is recommended acoording to the help,
it triggers the event to call the webservice but also the submit event....

So i'm stuck right now.

Anyone any help?

Regards,

Michel

This should not happen. Are you using separate data connections for the form
submission and the web service? If not, use separate connections and that
should solve your problem. If that doesn't solve your problem, you may want
to handle the situation programmatically. Try different connections first
then let me know if that doesn't solve your problem.

Hi, your message that it shouldn't happen give me just enough spirit to retry.
Don't know what exactly it was, but i threw the submit / button away and
rebuilt it.. and voila.
Thanks!
