Hi,

Is is possible to output collected data in an infopath 2003 form to
specific cells in an excel spreadsheet?

It is not possible to export Infopath data to selected cells in an excel.

Yes, you can do it using Excel automation. See
http://www.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0006.htm for an example of Excel
automation that opens a workbook and sets the value of a cell.
