I have an infopath form (2003) in which we rolled out as a shared template to
our firm. The template is used to put a UI on top of an xml file that we
create dynamically within our system.

Problem is, the form validation; The validation seems to work fine on all of
our computers running Windows XP, but we ran into a hiccup today while
piloting the form on a Windows 2000 machine. The validation just doesn't kick
off on the Windows 2000 machine.

Is there anything related to having it on a Windows 2000 machine that may be
causing the error, or should I be looking elsewhere.

The specs say that it should work on Windows 2000 SP3. Try these pointers: Is
service pack 3 installed? Is IE 6 or later installed? I think you also need
to have MSXML 5.0 or later installed.

I did verify the windows 2000 SP3 and IE 6 is standard on our installs. One
thing that I may be able to verify is the MSXML 5.0. I know that we are in
process of switching to 6.0, but currently all of our computers are on 4.0.
I'm not sure what that would make it different between 2000 and XP though.

I'll give it a try and get back to you.
