I am trying to see if I can import a long list into an infopath field, say a
drop down box.  I don't want to hand enter 120 items.

Howdy,
Getting items into a drop down list can be done in a couple of ways.
1: is to enter them by hand (obviously not an option at the moment) but good
if you form is not going to be online all the time.
2: You could use the Data Connections in InfoPath to connect to an external
data source (Web Service, Database, Xml file) and then have the drop down
list source the items from the connection. If you need help setting this up
check the following post

01.aspx

Hope this helps

Cheers,
Ben

Thanks so much for the reply.  I understand about the data source fields, or
the data connections radio button as well.  My problem is that my data is
already in excell.  So I would have to create an XML, or access data base
just to import from one program to another seems like a lot of work for a
simplae command of cut and paste....

Thank you for your responses.

Ben very nice website link.  It didn't answer my question too much, but it
did answer another one.  One question though: On your website below when you
are setting up the filtered field did you really want to compare "Make equal
to Make"?  Shouldn't it be "Make equal to Model"?  Just curious since I am
new to infopath...
