Hi,
I am fairly new to InfoPath, and have created an InfoPath project
tracking form (basic details of the project plus repeating detail)
that resides in a SharePoint Form library. What I now need to do is
develop reports for management based on the form data.
I managed to link MS Access to the form library, but this only gives
me access to the basic details I have promoted and not the repeating
detail in the forms. I also tried the 'Merge' option but that only
merges the repeating detail, so I lose track of for example which
milestone detail belongs to which project.
I am sure there is an easy way to query the form library just as I
would an Access database but I can't for the life of me work it out. I
have heard mention of using a 'double submit' which submits to SQL
Server as well, but I have limited access on the SharePoint site.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ivan.

Hi Ivan.
It is a fairly common desire but unfortunately not something built into
SharePoint yet.
The double submit works. I do this same thing quite often using the
Database Accelerator Web Services and SQL Reporting Services from
http://www.qdabra.com
Included with the Database Accelerator is a whole Project Tracking solution
which may be of interest to you as an example or solution.

Hi Clay,
Thanks for the reply. All I can say is 'bugger' :)
I will have to look into the double submit further, but I think I will
run into the problem that I don't have access to the SQL Server
running the SharePoint site.
Thanks anyway.
Ivan.
