Hi all, we are new to infopath and just started our first attempt a few days
ago.
We are getting errors when trying to publish our form to small business
sever 2003.
I undestand we don't have "form sevices" installed as we are only running
WSS 3.0, but from everything i have read if i don't want it browser enabled
it should still be published and saved to a WSS form library, correct?
Basically we can't get past the URL path at all.
steps we have taken:
opened the standard expense template that comes with InfoPath
Saved to desktop
click publish
select - To a sharepoint server with or without InfoPAth Forms Services, next
http://sharepointname have tried this with /sites, /sites/sitename,
http://servername , with the following errors.
http://sharepointname Error: Infopath could not find or cannot access the
following Web Server: //sharepoint name
Make sure that the web server name is valid, that your proxy settings are
correct, and that you have the necessary permissions to publish this library.
If the server requires log on through the browser, log on there and select
the option to remember your log on information, then try to publish again.
http://sharepointname/sites/sitename Error: the following URL is not valid.
http://servername Error: The windows SharePoint Services server at
http://servername does not fully support Microsoft InfoPath. Document library
features in Microsoft Office InFopath may not work correctly with this sever
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as i can see a lot of uses for
these InfoPath forms.
Cheers

the URL is - http://sharepointv3 and i created a test form library called
InfoPathTest if i add this to the URL it fails i have tried a lot of differen
URL's.
I have copied the URL from the IE address barof the test form site and no
luck, then deleted the ASPX extension, then deleted the AllItems extention
etc all the way back but no luck.
Hope this clears it up for you as i would love to actually use InfoPath.
Cheers
