I have a dropdown list populated by a web service.
The problem is, the first entry is always a blank entry!  How do I remove
this blank entry?  I don't think it's coming from my web service... although
I suppose it may be - but the XML my web service spits out looks clean enough.

Hello

Which version if Infopath are you using?
Please take a look at this link below

Thanks Kalyan, I am using InfoPath 2007.
Reading the posts in the link you provided, I think I have my answer - "It
is by design".  Manually modifying the XSL isn't an option for me, as it
interrupts our work flow to do so.  With over 100 forms waiting to be put
online, that would take up too much time.
It's a shame Microsoft decides to take control away from the developer like
that.
