Hi All
I have a complex form, which we are planning to use Infopath2003 form to
Submit its data t sql server 2005 xml column.
Can I create a Form from a blank form not from database, and add a submit,
query, update buttons and do the inserting and updating?
Also prior to inserting how do I check to see whether a perticular value is
present or not in the existing records?
Can I do the Inserting part first and do the update part later?
Can some one suggest a best approach and any article which I can use?
Thank you

Are you going to use Web Services?

Are you building these to both query and submit to SQL?

Hi Clay
Thanks a lot for responding to the question.
If needed I will use the webservice.
I want to insert a new record, query and update the existing records.
Is it possible to first complete the Insert functionality and later modify
the form to include the query/update?
I have a very complex form with lot of controls.
Is there a way I can just add all the controls to the form and then  add a
submit button and send it to webservice to store into sql server 2005 xml
table column?

Only with web services could you add submit to the existing form.  With a SQL
based form it must be designed from scratch as such.

If you would like to see an example of what could be done with web services
you can contact me here.
