I have put the user-name function embedded in a feild box.  Will that cause
the sharepoint form library to make the user log in every single time
because of the value being returned to the form when user opens the form?  I
am getting complaints that they are having to login everytime.  It is set to
domain in the form options.  Please help. Thank you for your time.

The values in the form would not affect the security or authentication of the
form.

Either the SharePoint library is needing authentication and they do not have
their credentials saved or some data connection or code is requiring
authentication.

Are you just using the username() function? That would not have any issue.

I would check your data connections.  The source servers or sites need to be
in the user's intranet or trusted security zones.
