Hi Meg.
You are refering to a "Cascading Dropdown". If you search with this term on
http://www.infopathdev.com you will see multiple examples.
Essentially you filter your source list by the preceding dropdown value.

Thanks Clay,
I went and looked at the site and searched for cascading dropdowns, but I am
not sure I understand.
I filtered the data on the drop down in the Data Entry Form and it works
fine there, I have that same filter on the Search and Edit form (which is a
dupicate of the Data Entry Form) The problem lies where I push my query
button that populates all of the Completed training in a separate Search and
Edit form and I want to change the Training Subject but I want it to show me
only the Training Subjects that are associated with the training area. Does
all this make since? I am new to infopath but have done several things with
it just by playing around with it. I just can't get this to work.
thanks,
MEG
