HI,
Im extremely new to InfoPath but it might be just what I need.
I need to design a Web Form for the Internet based on an XML Schema (with
around 300 fields). User will feed it and then  to write XML files that will
be exported to another database.

Does Infopath require Sharepoint?(Im planning to use Shared Host that doesnt
provide it) Or can I just Export the Form template as a WebForm and have it
write XML files in the server?

Is there another product (MS or NON-MS) that does this?

Hi Gustavo.

If you want tto host an InfoPath form you would need IPFS which is included
in MOSS 2007 or can be purchased on its own.  Or you could try the web viewer
from www.qdabra.com.
Qdabra can give you the database integration to import the data from the
form into the database.
